Built by a tennis dad.
For every tennis parent.

AceWhisperer started on a cold Sunday morning at a junior tournament.
It was born out of frustration, love, and too much bad coffee.

It’s 7am. The courts are wet. Your kid is warming up, nervous. You’re standing on the other side of the fence with nothing useful to do — except worry.

You watch other parents. Some are pacing. Some are filming every shot on their phone. Some are Googling “best junior racket” on their phone right now. That was me.

I’m the dad of a junior competitive tennis player. Every weekend, I’m at a tournament somewhere. I’ve sat through rain delays, equipment meltdowns, match-point losses, and the long drives home where no one speaks.

And I’ve spent way too much money on the wrong gear — because I didn’t know what I was looking for, and the internet was full of reviews written by people who clearly didn’t have a kid competing in the 12s.

“I just wanted one place I could trust. Written by someone who actually lives this every weekend.”

That’s why I built AceWhisperer

Our Mission

No sponsored posts dressed up as reviews. No gear lists copied from affiliate farms. Just real testing, real match experience, and real talk from a dad who’s made every mistake so you don’t have to.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

To give tennis parents and junior players honest, practical advice — from someone who’s been on both sides of that fence.

  • Every piece of gear is tested by an actual junior competitor — not a lab, not an adult
  • We tell you what doesn’t work, not just what does
  • Affiliate links are always disclosed — your trust matters more than a commission
  • Written at 6am before tournaments, edited between matches — this is a labour of love

Why I know how you feel

I know what it’s like to watch your kid double fault on match point and not be able to do a thing about it.

I know the feeling of spending $200 on a racket that your kid hates after two sessions. I know what it’s like to ask the coach a question and feel like you’re being too much.

I know the group chats, the tournament spreadsheets, the 5am alarms, the snack bags, the sunscreen, the folding chair that never folds properly.

I’m not a professional coach. I’m not a former ATP player. I’m just a dad who’s deeply invested, has done the research, and wants to share it with parents just like me.

What you’ll find here

AceWhisperer covers everything a tennis parent actually needs — gear reviews written from real match experience, development guides for juniors at different stages, and honest takes on the new racket sports your kid is probably already asking about (padel, pickleball).

If there’s an affiliate link, it’s because we use the product and believe in it. If we wouldn’t buy it for our own kid, it won’t appear on this site.

Start with our most trusted gear guides — tested across real tournaments, written for parents who want real answers.
